Kevin Waters & Sons Towing has been serving NSW motorists since 1969. Decades of experience, a modern fleet, and a team that puts you first — every time.
In 1969, Kevin Waters bought a single tow truck and started answering the calls no one else wanted — the 3am ones. There was no dispatch software, no GPS, no franchise handbook. Just a phone number people learned to trust, because whoever picked it up actually turned up.
Fifty-plus years on, that phone number hasn't changed, and neither has the family answering it. What's changed is everything around it — heavier trucks, busier roads, a second generation now running day-to-day operations — but the job itself is still exactly what Kevin started it as.
These days that means NHVR-accredited operators, a workshop held to OEM standards, and a dispatch desk that never closes — 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with GPS-tracked ETAs and insurance-approved billing built in. The paperwork's modern. The reason we do it hasn't moved an inch.
A family business doesn't measure itself in funding rounds — it measures itself in decades on the road, and the trust that gets earned one job at a time.
The trucks have changed, the livery has changed, and the phone number picked up an extra 9. Everything else about the way we work has stayed exactly where Kevin left it.

NowEvery driver, dispatcher and mechanic at KWT works to the same three rules Kevin Waters set in 1969 — they're still the whole job description.
01
Average 30-minute metro response, 24 hours a day. When you’re stuck on the side of the road, every minute feels long — we don’t make you wait longer than you have to.
02
Whether it’s a hatchback or a 40-tonne prime mover, it gets loaded, secured and delivered the way we’d want our own vehicle handled — no shortcuts, no damage, no excuses.
03
If we say 30 minutes, we mean 30 minutes. If a job’s going to take longer, you hear that from us straight away — not after you’ve been waiting and wondering.
Real call-outs, real trucks, real KWT drivers — a look at the kind of work that happens on any given night across Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle and the South Coast.
Every driver on our trucks, every voice on our dispatch line, and every mechanic in our workshop lives in the communities we serve. When you call KWT, you're not routed through a call centre offshore or a franchise head office interstate — you're talking to a Sydney family business that's kept those jobs local for over 50 years.
That same community-first mindset is why KWT backs the Penrith Panthers as a Platinum Partner — not as a marketing exercise, but because investing in Western Sydney is exactly the kind of thing a local family business is supposed to do.
See the Panthers partnershipFifty-plus years on the road means nothing without the credentials to back it up. Here's who holds us to account.

We're an Australian family business first — every driver, dispatcher and mechanic on our team keeps local jobs local. If you want real experience with a crew that's been doing this for 50+ years, we want to hear from you.
"We built this company on the phone at 3am. When the moment matters, KWT moves." — Kevin Waters III, Managing DirectorView Careers
Trucks and equipment only get you so far — every KWT crew trains the same way, on the same standards, before they're anywhere near your vehicle.
